What is RoomSpark?
RoomSpark is a personal passion project I designed and built in collaboration with a developer. It’s an interior design app that helps users generate room layouts in seconds and instantly suggests curated furniture and decor to complete the space.
The Problem
Decorating a home can be overwhelming—especially for those without a design background. Many people struggle to visualize layouts or choose the right furniture and often don’t know where to begin.
Who It’s For
RoomSpark is designed for anyone moving into a new home or apartment, or simply looking to refresh their space. It’s especially helpful for users who feel stuck, lack a clear vision, or need guidance making confident design choices.
Solution:
We wanted to create a seamless flow for how users generate images and immediately get product recommendations. They can also choose a specific style of room they'd like.
Business model:
We wanted to create a seamless flow for how users generate images and immediately get product recommendations. They can also choose a specific style of room they'd like.
Business model:
Users receive 3 free image generations along with a curated list of matching products. When users purchase through our affiliate links, we earn a commission. They can also buy additional image generations—like $10 for 10 more images or $20 for 25.
Our primary revenue goal is commissions from affiliate sales at retailers like West Elm, Amazon, and Pottery Barn.

Where we're at (June 2025)
We are currently building this project so we are focused on coding and sending out the landing page to get signups from users who want to be notified when we launch.
